1. You should not exceed 1000 calories a day.
2. Eat foods rich in dietary fibers like fruits and vegetables. It makes you feel full and it cleans your intestine.
3. If you are using canola oil, soybean oil, or other commercial cooking oil. you should use coconut oil because it contain medium chain triglycerides that makes our metabolism fast and it doesn’t contribute to weight gain.
4. Eat Rice instead of bread because rice contains complex carbohydrates that makes you stay full for a long period of time.
5. If you don’t eat rice, you should eat whole grain bread.
6. Drink a lot of water.
7. Minimize your sugar because they make you hungry faster and it contributes to weight gain.
8. Eat foods that are rich in vitamin C and B vitamins.
9. Eat curry because it cleans your liver.
10. Drink hot green tea after every meal.
11. Avoid cold drinks after meal because it interupts food digestion, but drinking cold drink 1 hour before meal makes you burn extra calories.
12. Air condition and cold weather lowers our body temperature that our body needs to burn more calories to make our body temperature go higher.
13. Enough sleep. Because the more you sleep, the less you eat.
14 Eat more antioxidant.
I have one recipe here and you will learn a lot from this recipe.

4 dried Shiitake mushrooms dehydrated and cut into desire shape and size or 1/2 cup of mushrooms canned.
Procedure
1. Combine water shiitake mushrooms and soy sauce in a pan and let it boil.
2. In boiling water and soy sauce, put the peanut butter or tahini and let it dissolve.

This recipe make 2 servings. But for me, I eat 1/2 of this for breakfast because breakfast is the most important meal of the day. 1/4 for lunch and 1/4 for dinner and I eat 1 cup of rice for breakfast, 3/4 for lunch and 3/4 for dinner. I also eat 2 tangerines before I eat my breakfast so that I can absorb the vitamins and minerals from tangerines. so I consume 802 calories every day and the recommended calorie intake in U.S. is 2000 calories a day so I only get 40% DV of calories and that is safe. Okinawans eat maximum of 1200 calories a day and It is just 60% of US’s RDA and Okinawans have the highest Longevity rate. Why? Because the low calorie diet increases Dehydroepiandrosterone (DHEA) and high DHEA levels can increase one’s longevity. Other is the more calories you the more free radicals you produce because our mitochondria produces more free radical if it burns more calories. Free radical can make the aging process faster.

Eat right and exercise. If you arent already vegetarian, you should start. If you’re only going on a vegetarian diet to lose weight, well thats just dumb. Seriously. Yes you will be much much healthier and will lose some weight, but being veg isnt a miracle diet, and if you plan to go back to eating meat afterwards you’re just going to go back to being unhealthy.

I'm not sure where to post this comment but I'm just really glad that Ellen has a site with a bio. We hang out all the time (via video) and it's nice to have some more details to go along with the back story that I made up for her & all the girls on Fat Burning Pilates. Her videos are great and I hope she makes more & gets all the peanut butter she desires.
Congratulations on losing weight. Have you thought about going vegetarian for a few months? My husband lost 30lb in 6 months by doing this. We feel much better and our poo doesn’t stink as much as when we ate meat all the time. After losing the weight we are a going back to meat once a week. It isn’t that hard to find the protein replacement and great veggie dishes to make. If you need help let me know. Good Show!
I think too that our society (including medical professionals) make “losing weight” the miracle cure for all kinds of things – from lack of stamina to inflexibility to diabetes. Instead of focusing on activity and lifestyle, all we seem to care about is shrinking someone's ass – that's what is frustrating to me. This leads people to do crazy UNHEALTHY things in the name of losing weight so that they can be “healthier” (slimfast anyone?)
Hey Jordan,
I’d say these are pretty good estimates. And yep, “percentages” are good food for thought!
I agree that percentages give us conceptual info rather than concrete info — it’s mostly useful to discuss the trend of body fat loss or gain.
By the way, how is your fat loss coming Jordan? Are you still incorporating IF? I hope you’re seeing a steady trend toward a loss! Give us an update…
Cheers,
Johnny
I understand that there should be specific therapies for the different genders but none the less losing weight is the main goal. To start and complete a program is difficult and sometimes as studies show the amount of time to exercise to see results is not met. why they are not met and if there is a difference in the gender of why they are not met we may be able to focus on that. Great information
I think flax seed oil is the only thing that burns fat. The pills that make that claim usually have caffiene or ephedra in them to speed you up. Whether they burn fat or curb hunger would have to depend on the specific ingredients.
