Low-Calorie High-Protein After Workout Recipe/How-To

2TOTAL MEAL 3 chicken strips 4 mushrooms 8 spears asparagus 2 Tbsp (about) olive oil Peppers, Pepper Seasoning to Taste Total Calories: 230 The more oil, the more calories. I didn’t eat most of the oil (that which didn’t cover the chicken and mushrooms was thrown away). It’s not the healthiest meal ever (fried) but the calories and carbs are really low, and I’ll be full all night! Always, I drink at least 16 oz of water as well. Sometimes I’ll follow this up with a salad but I was just too full this evening icon wink Happy healthy eating! http://antishay.wordpress.com

Good for after a workout eating chicken breast.

Next time try a lil garlic clove crushed, add about a teaspoon of balsamic vinegar and a teaspoon of soy sauce together with the olive oil…. you can also use the sauce to lightly dress the breast after :-)

I love mushrroms to, but a few baby tomatoes left on the vine gently cooked in a lil olive oil again would make this spot on lol

    the meal is …
the meal is actually very healthy, sure it has quite a bit of oil, but again, at least its olive oil, it has essential fatty acids which is good. the chicken itself is pretty low calorie, and the veggies has near no callories. its ok to use a higher than usual ammount of fat in food in you arent eating carbs, a fat + protein meal is exellent and healthy (as long as its healthy fat of course :) , such as olive oil )

If I was gonna cook I would have diced tomatoes, onions, the mushrooms, and SAUTED first. Then cook the chicken (perhaps bread it) and then cook both the veggies and the chicken for about a min to make sure everything is hot. Spices: salt, black pepper, and basil.
—You can eat it like that or put it on top of spaggeti / noodles / etc —

C’mon we all know the best nutrition you (NEED) right after your workouts is Sugar!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
if you don’t then you’ll lose that spark & won’t have that Drive that will get you through an Intense workout.

    Reason Being is …
Reason Being is during your workouts you are Depleting alot of Glycogen, after a workout your Glycogen stores are Drained, craving in NEED of sugar to Spike back up your Insulin levels, it’ll get you ready Stronger the next time you start your Workouts again.
Ya’ll dont need protein! don’t worry about getting in protein you can feed your body that later.

Increase your lean muscle mass rather than bodyfat, unless you are having problems with your periods (this comes when you go lower than about 15% bodyfat).

The cholesterol side of the picture is complex; they're finding out new stuff about cholesterol all the time and nothing is ever clear cut. Vegetable sources of fat would be the best for you, especially olives, olive oil, avocadoes, and virgin coconut oil, but even if you avoid stuff like red meat, if you are genetically predisposed to high cholesterol, you will have difficulties getting rid of it, even if you do the right things. One thing you can't go wrong with though, is oatmeal. Lots of oatmeal.
